Meetup Is Using Organizer Fees for Political Purposes
On February 13, 2017, Meetup.com sent out unsolicited emails to its entire membership advertising groups that Meetup had themselves created, and which were designed to support ultra-left wing political objectives. Meetup claims that they are politically neutral and allow "anyone" to be a member.
However, the fact that they are diverted the resources which they've assembled as a result of mainstream members' involvement to political purposes is both illegal and unacceptable. Simply, they've become a PAC, and their stated business mission and functions are no longer what they claim.
Their primary purpose now is to exploit their contact lists to campaign for their political intentions. Yes, boycott, but also complain wherever you can!
Reason of review: Deceptive, exploitative and illegal business practices.
Preferred solution: Meetup needs to just shut down entirely; they can no longer be trusted. If they want to become a PAC, do so legally, but, for heaven's sake, stop pretending to be about promoting "community." .

Meet up is a leftist supremacist site that profiles and shadow bans people their informants in your communities don't like

Yes. I completely agree to boycott Meetup.
In this country we used to have a term for it, but the Clintons some how renamed it progressive.
It used to be called Treason.
Really enjoyed Meetup. Was an organizer of a ~3500 member hiking group.
Was looking forward to organizing some events to raise money for local Veteranโs groups this summer. When the company started their resist campaign I transferred the group to someone else and canceled my membership.
Will not be buying their $89.94 - 6 month subscription any longer. I encourage everyone reading to discontinue using meetup.
What other options are there? Our group is shifting to Facebook, which I refuse to join?
